Mr. Magadia is a graduate of the University of the Philippines Diliman with a degree in Business Administration. LAMBERTO B. MERCADO, JR. Atty. Mercado, 42, is a member of our Board. Atty. Mercado is a lawyer and a CPA by profession. Atty. Mercado is a member of the Board of Directors of several publicly-listed companies namely: Metro Alliance Holdings & Equities Corp., Forum Pacific, Inc., Acesite (Phils.) Hotel Corporation and Wellex Industries, Inc. Atty. Mercado is currently the Vice-President for Legal Affairs of the Wellex Group, Inc. In the past, as Deputy Administrator for Administration, Atty. Mercado had supervised the largest group in the SBMA. Atty. Mercado had also, helped in the drafting of Administrative Orders to effectively implement R.A. 7227 (the law creating the Subic Bay Freeport Zone) and its implementing rules and regulations. Atty. Mercado was the President of Freeport Service Corporation, a subsidiary of SBMA and helped in the creation and organization of this service corporation. Atty. PHILIP A. ENCARNACION Mr. Encarnacion has been a director of Acesite (Phils.) since 24 June 2004. As an independent director, he heads the Audit Committee of the Company. He is the Chief of Staff of Hon. Sherwin T. Gatchalian at the House of Representatives from 2000 to the first semester of 2004, then, at present, of the Valenzuela City Hall. Before joining Hon. Gatchalian’s office, he was the assistant Vice-President for administration of PHILAIR, Inc. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering. PABLO M. GANCAYCO Atty. Gancayco, a director of the Company since 24 June 2004, is a managing partner of Gancayco, Balasbas & Associates Law Offices. He took his bachelor of arts in political science and bachelor of laws from the University of the Philippines. His expertise is in the Intellectual Property Law and holds the posts of Vice-President and director of the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines and councilor of the ASEAN Intellectual Property Association. As a member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association and International Trademark Association, he was in the forefront in the organization of the recently concluded convention of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association. Memberships in various local and international organizations include American Intellectual Property Association, Licensing Executives Societies of the Philippines and the International Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriete Industrielle and Maritime Law Association of the Philippines. In 1998, he took an intensive course on industrial property from the Universite Robert Schuman in Strasbourg, France. At present, Atty. VICENTE C. ATILANO Mr. Atilano obtained his post graduate degrees at the University of Asia and the Pacific (Manila, Philippines) – Master in Business and Economics, 2000; Swedish Institute of Management (Stockholm, Sweden) – Applied International Management Program, 1987; and International Management Institute (Geneva, Switzerland) – Financial Management, 1983. He founded Kohl Industries, Inc. where he is the Chairman and President from 2002 up to the present. He was the founding president and stockholder from 1990 to 2000 of Corporate Investments, Phils., Inc. He was the Chairman of the Board of ATF Technologies, Inc. from 1998 to 2000 and President and Vice-Chairman of TIPO Valley Realty Corporation from 1996 to 2001. He was the Chairman of Philippine Foundation for Cultural & Education Development, Inc (PFCED) from 1988 to 2000, President and Director of CIPI Realty, Inc. from 1996 to 2000. He was the founding senior officer of Philippine Commercial Capital, Inc., tasked to set up the over-all operations of the investment house from ground up. He was also the Assistant Vice-President/Assistant Treasurer of First Philippine Capital Corporation from 1976 to 1981. He became a Director of Acesite (Phils.) Inc. on 20 June 2007. |
