The Waterfront Manila Pavilion’s Culinary Trinity

The colorful yet opulent façade of the Waterfront Manila Pavilion Hotel & Casino conceals some of the true reasons why the property is slowly but surely inching its way to establishing itself as the premier mid-market hotel in the city. They work frenetically and passionately behind closed doors to create masterpieces that will surely enrapture guests in gustatory delight. They are our chefs, who each come with their own brand of expertise to satisfy clients, both old and new.

Heading the culinary trinity is Executive Chef Rudolf Kitzberger. He is no stranger to the Philippines, having worked for the Renaissance Hotel Makati as their Executive Sous Chef. Prior to joining the Pavilion, he was the Executive Chef of the Dusit Thani Resort Hotel in Phuket, Thailand. Chef Kitzberger was likewise instrumental in the coordination of a number of functions at the Palace of the Royal Family of Thailand, and has even bagged numerous accolades in culinary tilts such as the Norge Mystery Net Seafood Contest held in Bangkok, Thailand, proof that he is not only a talented chef but a fastidious and disciplined gourmand as well.

The Pavilion’s Executive Sous Chef Khoon Meng Toh carries with him a distinct combination of learned expertise and culinary intuition that promises gourmands a unique dining experience. He promises to introduce the Filipino community to a new brand of flavor and amaze them with his novel concept in food preparation. Chef Toh is the brainchild behind the immensely successful Singapore Hawker promotion of the hotel, which, according to him, will not be the last of his ingenious concepts.

When it comes to sweet treats, Sous Chef Amador Mendoza is the best man for the job. His dexterity in transforming sugar into whimsical figures and patterns are uncontested, after bagging the third place in the Food Asia Salon Culinaire Singapore 2008 and the plum prize in the Showpiece competition of the recently concluded Manila Food & Beverage Exposition last June.

Experience the culinary trinity’s divine creations firsthand at the Waterfront Manila Pavilion and luxuriate in flavors so blissful you’d want to last until kingdom come. For inquiries and reservations, please call (632) 526-1212 or visit www.manilapavilion.com.ph.
