Through its hotel subsidiaries, Waterfront Philippines, Inc. (WPI) is committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and has implemented various initiatives to contribute to the well-being of communities and the environment. WPI’s CSR evolves around five initiatives; namely,

  1. Environment and Sustainability: WPI places importance on environmental conservation and sustainability. The company has implemented through the years’ energy-saving measures, waste management practices, and water conservation initiatives in our properties. It also participates in activities such as mangrove planting to improve coastal clean-up and tree planting to promote environmental stewardship.
  2. Education and Skills Development. WPI recognizes the importance of education and skills development in empowering individuals and communities. The company has supported educational programs and vocational training initiatives to enhance quality education and learning access.
  3. Employee Welfare and Development. WPI places emphasis on the welfare and development of its employees. The company provides a conducive working environment, promotes employees’ well-being, and offers training and development programs to enhance their skills and career growth. It also provides other training that enhances the lives of its employees, whether it be skills or knowledge training that the employees can use in their daily lives. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company gave food packages and some financial assistance to help navigate such a challenging time.
  4. Community Engagement: WPI actively engages with local communities to address their needs and contribute to their development. The company collaborates with local organizations and government agencies to implement projects and initiatives that promote community well-being, health, and socio-economic development.
  5. Disaster Response and Relief: WPI has demonstrated its commitment to supporting communities during times of disaster and crisis. The company provides immediate assistance, relief goods, and resources to affected areas, helping communities recover and rebuild. The most recent and biggest one was during the COVID-19 pandemic where apart from relief goods, the company offered its hotel properties as site for vaccination or bakuna centers.
